A. Telnet and SSH is also possible from Linux via terminal
However Telnet is not advised because no encryption is present
Telnet is included in Windows by default no need extra software
To use SSH you have to download a SSH software for Windows and Windows machine
Just try OpenSSH for Windows
Set the firewall on windows to allow the connections

How do i set up Limewire if it sez i'm behind a firewall?
Q. I use a proxy which has linux fedora running on it. I also use mcafee antivirus on my machine but not on the proxy. Could that be the problem?
A. #1 don't use Limewire, use BearShare, it's free version is much better then even the payable version of Limewire, sam networks ( Gnutella), more results, less lagging, the bear icons might be kind of stupid, but it works a lot better.

Except I'm behind a physical firewall, -- my netopia dsl acts as a physical firewall so no one can see any of my stuff, not even I... but that ship has sailed.
Are you running limewire on windows or on fedora? ( I believe there is a linux version of limewire.. not sure really), anyway.
easy solution: put limewire and the ports it uses on whitelist on macafee.
harder solution: put up a proxy specifically for limewire, and make sure macafee doesn't recognize it and doesn't affect it
...disable macafee while running limewire...
This really isn't much of an answer, but I would need more info to answer it better..
