Which netbook should I buy?

Q. I've never purchased a netbook before, and I'm hoping you guys can give me some idea of where to start.

This would be my "school" computer and I'd pack it around with me, and also take it on short trips when theft may be an issue. I'm looking to keep it under 300 dollars, though if you have an amazing suggestion for more, let me know. Using it for--

Typing notes
Some Netflix, Pandora, and YouTube
Facebook and Tumblr (Really looking for something that can handle a lot of Tumblr, probably)

I'm more interested in speed than storage capacity. I'd also appreciate something that boots up quickly, though that's not required.

I'd also appreciate a relatively quiet keyboard. Some netbooks I've used have had very noisy, flimsy and cheap feeling keyboards. If there are any netbooks with keyboards similar to my macbook keyboard, I'd appreciate that.

I've also been told to look into Chromebooks, though I'm a little confused about the difference between a Chromebook and a Netbook. I've looked at some forums and articles, but they were too specific for my needs. I'd appreciate any info regarding this.

A. This is what I got to say: Most netbooks are horrible. They are. I have one for a couple of years and it just didn't work out for me. I prefer for you to buy a laptop instead. I know... I know.. netbooks may come in handy because they are smaller in size, but you said you are going to watch Netflix. Renting Netflix come in DVDs so netbooks do not have a CD/DVD slot, laptops do. Laptops are way way way faster.

I guess you can do some research and find which one is best for you. If you are still not interested when I said to buy a laptop instead, then ok, get a netbook.

Here's another catch, cheap laptops or netbooks are never the best thing to buy. You don't need to buy the really really expensive one, but just the right amount.

Chromebooks: is a personal computer running Google Chrome OS as its operating system. The devices are designed to be used while connected to the Internet and support applications that reside on the Web, rather than traditional PC applications like Microsoft Office and Photoshop that reside on the machine itself.

Basically it's just run by a Google Chrome OS. (Operating System)

Other operating systems are: Windows 7, Windows XP, Mac OS, Linux, etc...

EDIT: misspelled find in 2nd paragraph...
